Dear Society Member, 12th July 2007
On behalf of our Chairman, John Garner, I am writing to you with an invitation to attend the BPS Winter Meeting. We are again meeting at The Ramada Jarvis Hotel, The Square, Solihull, West Midlands, B91 2RF. The dates of the meeting are 17th and 18th November 2007.
Our guest speaker is Bill Goldner from Woodstream Orchids. Bill’s resumé will follow in the Journal.
Below you will find the Booking Form, which I ask you to fill in and return to me with £10 Registration per person by the 31st October 2007. The hotel has requested this and any rooms not taken by this date will be released. Please note – any late bookers will miss out! Please also note that the hotel do have a cancellation policy. The terms of this will be made aware to you on your Confirmation Booking Slip, once I have received your Booking Form.
The cost of the package is £125.00 per person and will include a lunch on the Saturday. The menus for the weekend are set by the hotel. Vegetarian options and special dietary requirements/allergies can be catered for so please mark the box on the Booking Form if you have any requirements, and I will do my best to cater for your needs. The option of “Delegate Partner Rate” is available again at £68.00 per person. This will include dinner, shared accommodation with partner and breakfast only. Please note this will not include Saturday lunch, any tea/coffee breaks or the BPS meeting itself.
For commercial sales, you are welcome to bring plants for sale (anything to do with the “Slipper” family) and some sundry items (bark/composts & books), but please note a table fee of £25.00 will be required. This opportunity is open to BPS Members only, and of course the guest speaker! If you require a table, please let me know at time of booking.
Non commercial Members are also able to bring plants for sale, but please note they will go onto the Member’s Sales Table and 10% will be taken of your sales for the Society funds. Please note you are limited to no more than 10. Again, please let me know on the booking form if you will be bringing any plants.
Please only send £10 registration per person with your Booking Form. The deposit up front has been dropped again as we did at the last Winter Meeting. Anyone booking in as a day delegate, I will collect full payment from you when you check in at registration at mid-day on the Saturday and will then clear your account for you, 24 hour delegates will clear their own accounts.
It is going to be yet another wonderful and very luxurious weekend, with a really superb speaker, so don’t miss out - treat yourself and get booking now! Don’t forget the deadline of 31st October 2007 and that all delegates are to settle their own room bill on departure.
